The Bucks County Conservation District
Formed in 1961 to address a distinct need for soil conservation in Bucks County. Initially our office prioritized agricultural assistance, and the prevention of soil loss from agriculture above other resource needs.
However, over the last 50 years, a distinct change in land use has occurred, and while erosion and soil loss are still the priority for BCCD, it is because of other negative effects from soil loss than reductions in agricultural production.
